VVC Program facilitation at Sri Ramakrishna Vidyalaya, Tiruppur

V-Set Value Club - Mind your word

During our program on Mind your word in Visa Convent Mat school, we asked students to situations where they can use polite words in place of harsh words. We briefed students on the power of words by which you can rule or ruin. Karthik, a student said, Sir, while playing cricket my friend dropped a catch. Captain and other boys scolded my friend severely and blamed him for losing a catch. In stead of scolding him by harsh words, they could have told him, "okay ma, don't worry. You are a good in catching. Next time you will do it."
Another boy said, Sir, I lost my rank in the quarterly exam. Instead of scolding me, my father told me, 'you are well at studies, I am sure you will score very well in next exam.' Those words gave me motivation and now I am scoring marks well in all exams.

V-Set Value Club - Confidence

During our program on Confidence in SMD School,Chennai, we asked students, why we need confidence? Can we not function without confidence. A boy stood up and said, Sir, here 200 students are sitting. Not every one could get up and express their thoughts. Very few of us only express our views. Is it not because of our confidence? The very act of standing before you and holding this mike is confidence. Another boy said, Sir, we can guess confidence from the words of the person. The confident persons always speak with clarity.

V-Set Value Club - You can win

During our program You can win in CSI Rajagopaul Middle School, the facilitator shared a situation. Kavitha and Ramya are close friends. Suddenly one day Ramya asked a pen from Kavitha thinking that she had two pens. Kavitha refused. Ramya stopped talking on that day onwards for six months! This has resulted in their skill in studies dropped drastically, they get into the anger mood, they are not able to move freely with others. A simple pen made so much to loose for six months! The facilitator asked: Is it fair to loose the friendship for a petty reason forgetting all the goodness of a friend? Who are all here do not speak with others? Immediately David stood up and said 'I fought with my friend Babu', saying so he went to the place of his friend shaken his hands hugged him'.

V-Set Value Club - You can win

At the end of the program on 'You can win', a girl from poor back ground said, till now I have not realised the importance of studies. I used to come to school as a routine as told by parents. After listening this program, now I feel that I should study well.

V-Set Value Club - Attitude

During our Program on Attitude in St Annes Girls Hs School, Chennai. More than 200 students attended the program. We have introduced ourselves as their friend. At the end of the program, we shared with students, we get interested in a subject when get friendly with teacher. If we want to love a subject we should also love a teacher. One girl stood up and asked, 'Sir, why you introduced yourself as our friend when you began the program?' we kept silent. Every one shouted 'we want answer'. We slowly said, we know you will listen to a friend. She said immediately, our teacher is not moving with us as a friend. What can we do? We said, okay, your teacher is not moving with you like a friend. Why not you be friendly with your teacher? Why not you be loving and sincere towards teacher? On hearing this, every one fell into silence and nodded.
